These pictures were taken last Easter Sunday (March 23, 2008) from the summit of Mount Pulag. It was an amazing experience even if it’s my 2nd time already. Indeed, the sea of clouds and the sunrise presents a different perspective this time.

Going to Mount Pulag is quite easy if you have prepared your itinerary very well. It is important to plan your trip ahead of time and have the necessary camping gears ready. And, oh yes, be ready for the chilling temperature which may go down to 0 degrees C.
If you plan to go there, please schedule your planned itinerary ahead of time with the DENR office. You may contact them at 09203013932. It is always safe to make a reservation as early as possible since there is a limit on the number of people allowed to visit the park.
A 2-3 day itinerary is enough if you are coming from Manila. We normally follow these skeds, you may adjust it depending on your preference and mode of transportation:
- Day 1. 10PM. Leave Manila for Baguio.
- Day 2. 3 AM. Leave Baguio for DENR Office.
- 6AM. DENR office for registration and briefing.
- 7AM. Leave DENR for Ranger Station.
- 9AM. Breakfast at Ranger Station. Coordinate with the assigned guide and porter, if needed.
- 10AM. Start Trek to Camp Base2.
- 2PM. ETA to camp base2. Prepare lunch and rest.
- Day 3. 3AM. Start Trek to Summit> Goal is to be there before sunrise.
- 7AM. Go back to camp base 2.
- 9AM. Breakfast and head back to Ranger Station.
- 12NN. ETA Ranger Station. Light lunch.
- 1PM. Head back to baguio.
- 7PM. Leave Baguio for Manila.
From Baguio to Ranger Station and vice versa, you may contact Mang Elias at 09262698628. The ongoing rate is Php 8,000 per jeep, back and forth.
DENR Fee: Total of Php 175 per head.
Guide Fee: We paid Php 100 each ( we were 11). Fees may vary depending on your number.
